This Privacy Policy describes how eCommerce360 ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you install or use the Quick Invoice Shopify application ("App").

The App enables Shopify merchants to generate, preview, download, print, and manage invoices using information from their Shopify store and orders.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use the App, we collect and process only the information necessary to provide the App's functionality.

a) Store Information

The following information may be collected when you install the App:

  • Store name
  • Shopify store domain, including the myshopify.com domain
  • Merchant contact email address
  • Shopify access tokens and authentication information required to connect the App to your store

Why we collect this information: To authenticate your store, provide the App's functionality, maintain your subscription, communicate with you, and provide support.

b) Shopify Order Data

The App may access order information through the Shopify Admin API, depending on the permissions granted by the merchant.

This information may include:

  • Order number and order date
  • Products purchased
  • Product quantities and prices
  • Taxes, discounts, and shipping charges
  • Order currency and total amounts
  • Payment and fulfillment status
  • Customer name and contact information
  • Customer billing and shipping addresses

Why we access this information: To generate accurate invoices and other merchant-requested documents for Shopify orders.

c) App-Generated Data

The App may store information created or configured by the merchant:

  • Invoice settings and preferences
  • Invoice templates and layout settings
  • Company name, address, logo, tax number, and contact information
  • Invoice numbering preferences
  • Custom invoice text, notes, and footer content
  • Merchant session data used for authentication
  • Application activity and technical logs

Why we collect this information: To personalize invoices, save merchant preferences, maintain secure sessions, provide support, and improve the App.

2. Information We Do Not Use for Advertising

The App does not:

  • Sell customer or merchant information
  • Rent or trade personal information
  • Use customer information for advertising
  • Use customer information for unrelated marketing purposes
  • Build advertising profiles about store visitors or customers

Customer information is accessed only as necessary to provide invoice functionality requested by the merchant.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate and display invoices
  • Generate invoice previews
  • Allow merchants to download or print invoices
  • Display relevant Shopify order information
  • Save invoice templates and merchant preferences
  • Authenticate Shopify stores and merchant sessions
  • Manage subscriptions and billing
  • Provide customer support
  • Diagnose technical errors and security issues
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the App
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

4. Data Storage

Merchant settings, invoice configurations, and other App-generated data may be stored in our secure database and hosting infrastructure.

Shopify order and customer information may be retrieved from Shopify when required to generate an invoice. We do not retain Shopify data for longer than reasonably necessary to provide the App's functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the security of the App.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or customer information.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With hosting, database, infrastructure, email, or technical service providers that help us operate the App
  • When required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or legal processes
  • When necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, or technical issues
  • When necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, or property
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable privacy requirements

Service providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated purposes.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain merchant and App-related information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App and provide its services.

When the App is uninstalled:

  • The App can no longer access new information from your store
  • Shopify access credentials are revoked or invalidated
  • Merchant-specific App data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse, or alteration.

These safeguards may include:

  • HTTPS and TLS encryption for data transmitted over the internet
  • Secure Shopify OAuth and session-token authentication
  • Restricted access to databases and production systems
  • Secure hosting infrastructure
  • Application monitoring and logging
  • Regular software and security updates

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their use of the App and any invoices they generate comply with applicable privacy, tax, accounting, consumer protection, and data protection laws.

Merchants are also responsible for providing any required notices to their customers concerning how customer information is collected and used.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Request a portable copy of your information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Submit a complaint to a relevant data protection authority

10. GDPR and CCPA

Where applicable, we process personal information in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), and other applicable privacy laws.

When we process Shopify customer information on behalf of a merchant, the merchant generally acts as the data controller or business, and we act as a data processor or service provider.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. International Data Transfers

Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where the merchant or customer is located.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information transferred internationally.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the App.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or applicable legal requirements.

Changes will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
