Field & Collection Map
Last Updated: May 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how eCommerce360 (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you install or use the Field & Collection Map Shopify application (“App”).
Field & Collection Map allows merchants to create custom product metafield definitions, assign those fields to Shopify collections, and edit field values directly from Shopify product pages using Shopify Admin UI Extensions.
1. Information We Collect
When you install and use the App, we collect only the information necessary to provide the App’s functionality.
We do not collect or process customer personal information, order data, or payment information from your storefront customers.
a) Store Information
Collected automatically during installation and authentication:
- Shopify store name and myshopify.com domain
- Merchant contact email
- Shopify authentication session data and API access tokens
Why We Collect It
To:
- authenticate merchants
- securely communicate with Shopify APIs
- maintain app sessions
- provide App functionality
- manage subscriptions and access
b) Product, Collection, and Metafield Data
The App reads and writes Shopify metafield-related data necessary for its functionality.
Data Read From Shopify
- Product IDs, titles, handles, and assigned collections
- Collection IDs, titles, and metafields
- Existing product metafield values
- Existing metafield definitions
Data Written By The App
The App may create and manage:
- product metafield definitions
- collection metafields containing field mappings
- product metafield values edited by merchants
- app-installation metafields used for settings
Why We Collect It
To:
- create custom product fields
- assign fields to collections
- display fields on Shopify product pages
- allow merchants to edit metafield values inline
- store collection-to-field relationships
- maintain app configuration settings
c) App-Generated Data
The App stores limited operational data required for authentication and configuration, including:
- Shopify session data
- app settings
- collection-to-field mapping configuration
Prisma and SQLite are used only for Shopify session persistence. Business data is primarily stored within Shopify metafields and metafield definitions.
d) Data We Do NOT Collect
The App does not collect, process, or store:
- customer names
- customer email addresses
- customer phone numbers
- shipping or billing addresses
- order or transaction information
- payment card or banking information
- customer browsing activity
- advertising or marketing tracking data
Billing and subscription payments are processed directly by Shopify. We do not collect or store payment card information.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- provide and operate the App
- create and manage Shopify metafield definitions
- manage collection-to-field mappings
- display custom fields in Shopify Admin product pages
- allow merchants to edit metafield values
- authenticate merchant sessions
- improve app reliability and performance
- troubleshoot technical issues
We do not sell or rent merchant data.
3. Data Storage
Application session data is stored in a secure SQLite database managed through Prisma ORM.
Most business-related configuration and field data is stored directly within Shopify using metafields and metafield definitions associated with the merchant’s Shopify store.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect stored information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or share merchant data for advertising or marketing purposes.
We may share information only:
- with infrastructure and hosting providers necessary to operate the App
- when required by law or legal process
- to protect our rights, security, or property
- to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats
Infrastructure providers may include cloud hosting, monitoring, and operational support services required for secure App operation.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain App-related data only while the App remains installed and active on your Shopify store.
After app uninstallation, associated App session data is scheduled for deletion from our systems within a reasonable period, typically within 48 hours.
Because most business data is stored directly in your Shopify store as metafields and metafield definitions, merchants may also manually remove or manage that data within Shopify Admin.
You may request deletion of App-related data at any time by contacting us using the information below.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for data transmission
- secure Shopify authentication mechanisms
- restricted access controls
- dependency and infrastructure security updates
- secure session management
The App does not rely on third-party advertising or tracking cookies for core functionality.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- access the data we store about your store
- request correction of inaccurate information
- request deletion of your data
- request a copy of your data in a structured format
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
We process merchant store data under the lawful bases of:
- contract performance
- legitimate interests
- compliance with legal obligations where applicable
The App is designed to avoid collecting or processing end-customer personal information.
9. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
